Lauren Levato Coyne is a queer artist, writer, and STEAM educator living in the Berkshires. Her writing appears in newspapers, magazines, and journals from the local to the international level. She is the recipient of the 2026 AICA-USA Irving Sandler Award for New Voices in Art Criticism; a 2025 Rabkin Foundation travel award; and a 2022 Toni Beauchamp Prize in Critical Arts Writing. She was a 2025 finalist for the Warhol Arts Writer grant. Levato Coyne is currently the artist in residence at the Kinney Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies at UMass Amherst and teaches drawing in the geoscience and oceanography departments at Williams College.
